The Strange Love that is Cats in Sinks... [Mar. 17th, 2011|01:22 pm]
ms_jinxme

 It’s
not that I lack of things to write on ( I've had a cake disaster, two birthdays, a London commute-route debacle where I encountered an extremely ‘gay’ fetishy bloke who is now on the look out to make me his faghag or is possibly not gay at all & wants to shag/sub or dom me, one fab & detrimentally inspiring afternoon at the Affordable Art fair, my waterpump on the boat spilling water everywhere, making my boat tilt to the left from water in the hull & me thus sleeping on my extra bed, two excellent club nights, a hangover from Mescal, a person who completely made me blubber by being the first person to be honest to me on a matter, listen to a taxi driver instructing my company in how to endear oneself to a lady like me, deflect invite texts sent by said weird ‘gay’ fetishy bloke, and finally a very nice Strada meal & drink with a friend ), but I’m just kinda uninspired… with exception of the fact that my workmate Bernie sent me this pic yesterday:

Upon which I recalled a friend’s cat who always drink from the kitchen tap & Elfys fab sink-pic of her cat, so I had to go to google images and input ‘Cat’ and ‘Sink’, getting some prime pics:

Hopefully that might put a smile on today!  :-)

*with a small apology to those for whome images of cats does nothing ~ feel free to bypass!

I still think they all have beautiful light & strength of colour in them, but the last one remains my absolute favourite: he looks so delightfully grumpy in it! And a bit like the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland. ;-D

That third pic almost looks like a possessed creature...

The ears back pic? He's probably just flicking them backwards to get his face in better. Had that come with hissing, spitting and claws it might have been another matter though!

I meant Elfy's third pic... with the cat in the sink from a long view... Almost looks like a "there is no fluffy.. only Zuul" type pic. Like hes going to wreck havoc on you if you step any closer.

Oooo, now it makes sense; YES, that would totally describe the sensation I have from it too (hence, I think, why it's my favourite)! :-D

*Ah, only now realised you commented on that & not post - tricky to see sometimes. :-)

Lots of things happening then. I know what you mean about being uninspired to write. It usually happens to me when there is a lot going on. :)

Thank you for the cat pictures!

I have had the same struggle at FB - spent three days with totally blank mind. I tend to try to wait until something springs naturally to my mind; I don't want to end up doing posts where I talk about the latest food I ate or how well I do my number one and two's... ;-)

I like LJ though so try to put my bid in to keep it 'alive', even if it's just something random. :-)

I'm mainly surprised how they can prefer sinks to a soft surface, but viewing the pics I suspect it's the sensation they are protected from all sides. Perhaps, originally in nature, their ancestors prefered hollows in the ground? and with the soft fur they already have, it's irrelevant how soft/non soft the surface is. :-)

Re: kitties!

*envy* It looks like I'll have to postpone getting my mog now until my boat has been out of the water & back in again. :-/

Such pictures of cuteness.

Hope that you get the boat sorted soon. xx
